Here's my first "desktop" Pimeta. Uses OPA2132/OPA132 opamps, Vishay S102 and RN55C resistors.
Electrolytic caps on the Pimeta are Nichicon Muse, input caps are 63v/1uF Panasonic MKPs, and the PSU bypass caps are 3.3uF
MKT (can't remember the brand). The volume control is a 10k noble pot (similar to the Alps "Blue Velvet").
It's housed in a small case from Context Engineering (available at Fry's Electronics), and powered by
a TREAD set to 28VDC. Input cap on the TREAD is a 2200uF/50V Nichicon UHE, the Voltage regulator is a LM317 with two
heatsinks. The whole thing is juiced by a 24VAC 830ma wallwart. Input is via gold-plated Tiffany style RCA jacks, output is
on a high-quality 1/8" jack. The volume control knob is in matching brushed aluminum to the case.
This is a very good sounding little headphone amp. I don't know if the Vishay S102/RN55 resistors
make any kind of a diffeerence. It's less detailed than my PPAs, and not nearly as much fun as my Millett, but it's still a
great value for the money.
